George Campbell & Sons began operations in 1940 as a postal contractor for the US Postal Service. In 1944 Causley Trucking bought out George Campbell & Sons and incorporated its operation with Causley Trucking group. In 2007 with the wisdom of the owner, Greg Causley made a decision to diversify as mail volume was declining. With this diversification, Causley Trucking became the sole operation of the postal operations and George Campbell & Sons started the sole operation of the freight division.
George Campbell & Sons started operation in 2007 with 7 drivers and currently in 2014 has grown to 25 drivers and 3 locations. George Campbell & Sons operates out of three locations which are Detroit, MI, Saginaw, MI and Tonawanda, New York. The service area of George Campbell & Sons is Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. Warehouse services are currently operating in New York with future plans of warehouse services being provided in Michigan.
